Share market update: Nifty Bank index flat; RBL Bank climbs 3%

NEW DELHI: The Nifty Bank index was trading flat with a negative bias on Friday's morning session.

Shares of RBLBANK (up 2.56 per cent), Federal Bank (up 2.1 per cent), Bandhan Bank (up 1.55 per cent), IDFC Bank (up 0.93 per cent) and IndusInd Bank (up 0.82 per cent) were among the top gainers.

While HDFC Bank (down 0.94 per cent), ICICI Bank (down 0.67 per cent), Kotak Mahindra Bank (down 0.27 per cent) and State Bank of India (down 0.24 per cent) were the top losers in the index.

The Nifty Bank index was trading 0.28 per cent down at 21582.0 around 10:24AM.

Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was down 15.75 points at 11184.4, while the BSE Sensex was 76.08 points at 37949.37.

Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 30 were trading in the green, while 20 were in the red.

Shares of YES Bank, Vodafone Idea, Alok Industries, Federal Bank and Tata Motors were among the most traded shares on the NSE.
