NSE-BSE bulk deals: World’s oldest SWF laps up Eris Lifesciences

Mumbai: Among the key bulk deals on Friday, the world’s oldest sovereign wealth fund Kuwait Investment Authority lapped up shares of pharma company Eris Lifesciences, while promoter International Paper Investments (Luxembourg) exited Andhra Paper.

Meanwhile, benchmark equity indices snapped a six-session losing streak, with Sensex rising 835 points to 37,389, while peer Nifty climbed 245 points to 11,050.

Here’s who bought and sold what in some of the key bulk and block deals of the day:
>> Kuwait Investment Authority A/C Kuwait Investment Auth Fund 225 bought 14,54,175 shares of Eris Lifesciences at Rs 540 per share, while Himanshu Jayantbhai Shah sold 18,00,000 shares of the company at Rs 540.05 per share. Promoter Shah held 3.23 per cent stake in the company at the end of June.

>> Promoter International Paper Investments (Luxembourg) S A R L sold its entire 2.8 per cent stake or 11,13,004 shares of Andhra Paper at Rs 177.51 per share, while Sundaram Mutual Fund bought 5,20,000 shares of the company at Rs 177.50 per share.

>> L&T Welfare Company and L&T Employees Welfare Foundation sold 50,94,495 units and 1,15,73,604 units respectively of infrastructure investment trust Indi Grid Trust to Larsen & Toubro at Rs 103.95 per unit.

>> Kaygee Investments bought 1,01,000 shares of Ipca Laboratories from Makers Laboratories at Rs 2,066.15 per share. The two promoters held 21.38 per cent and 0.08 per cent stake respectively in the company at the end of June.

>> Companies such as Route Mobile and Zee Entertainment Enterprises also witnessed bulk deals during the day.
